Dear Pastor,
Your
station brings me so much pleasure day and night with your relaxing
music. Please except my small token for your radio station and
prayers.
God Bless You,
Third Presbyterian,
I cannot
express enough the gratitude that the Spring River Girl Scout
Service Unit has for all the support that the members of 3rd
Pres. showed them at our pancake breakfast. We were able to raise
close to $550 for our family partner fund for

To My Church Family,
How can I
ever thank you for all your love, cards, prayers and visits during
my recent health issue. You are all so dear to me and I am so

To My Favorite Congregation, Session and Education Committee,

Third Presbyterian,
My sincere
thanks to all of you who sent cards, called me and for prayers
following my eye surgery. By the time you read this I should be
driving and I’ll “see” you in church!
Love,
To All My Friends at Third Presbyterian Church,
Thank you
for your prayers and support. In this world of a nursing home, away
from all the things you miss, like attending church, I am getting
better. How I have appreciated the calls and cards –
Yours Sincerely,

Dear Third Presbyterian Family:
We wish to express our gratitude for your many calls, cards and
visits over the past month while Jerry was ill, and for your

From Rev. Hanson
Thank you for the extra prayers for our family in recent weeks.
After hospitalization for our daughter Becky Smith over concerns her
baby would be arriving too early, she has now been doing well in
recent weeks, and we are anxiously waiting for the birth of a
granddaughter by April 1!
After my mother’s (Betty Hanson in Minnesota) sudden loss of most
of her vision in her one “good” eye, she has been receiving
treatment at the Mayo Clinic, and a significant amount of her vision
is returning! Thank you for your continuing prayers for Mom.
And I thank you for all of your many expressions of love and support following my January surgery for a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder. Healing is going very well and my twice a week hourly physical therapy sessions on the shoulder will continue for several more weeks. Special thanks to Linda Cunningham for preaching for our congregation on January 10; and to my wife, Mary and to Deacon Wylda Huffman who were my drivers for the first few weeks after surgery. And thank you to the others of you who offered to drive and were “on call” to help me keep up with visits and appointments. I am happy to tell you that my shoulder is recuperating very well!

Dear Rev. Hanson &
Third Presbyterian Church,
Thank you for your continued support of Rockford Area
Habitat for Humanity’s mission to improve the lives of
low-income families. We appreciate your generous donation of
$388.72 for our building program.
Our mission is to provide safe, decent, affordable housing
for families in need while empowering families to help
themselves. Habitat homeowners purchase their houses through
no-profit, no-interest mortgages while contributing 300
hours of “sweat equity” labor building their home. They also
complete 20 hours in coursework on financial management,
insurance, home repair, security, and maintenance.
We completed 5 new homes in northwest Rockford 2007. These
families spent their first Christmas in their new homes!
Thank you for making our work possible.
Thank you for thinking of Habitat and our homeowners!
Sincerely,
Tonya Thayer

You from Rev. Hanson
On behalf of Mary and myself and our family, I want to express my
sincere appreciation for the surprise recognition given to me at the
beginning of the December 2 worship service. I was truly surprised
as you recognized Mary and myself on the 30th anniversary of my
beginning Pastor of Third Presbyterian Church. It meant a tremendous
amount to me. I would say that it meant more to me than you can
imagine! I consider it my very special privilege to serve as pastor
of a most exceptional caring and loving church family. I appreciate
the
nice recognition certificate and Mary and I will enjoy the gift certificate to Cliffbreakers!
Sincerely,
Rev. Murray Hanson
