What is a Night Crusader?
A Night Crusader is any high school youth that wants to be. It is not necessary to be a member of Third Presbyterian Church to be a Night Crusader. All that is required is that you participate and interact among all in the group.
2007 events may include an October Pumpkin Overnight; a November Shopping Trip; Christmas Party maybe an Ice Hogs game or maybe another Cookie Walk.
We are active all 12 months of the year. Each month we do three things:
G & L Meeting: Games & Lessons, Fun and Fellowship Community Service Projects: both in church and outside the church (e.g. Children's Clothes Closet, Roast Beef Dinners, Church Clean-up Day) Fun Activities: e.g. White Water Rafting, Great America, Pirates Cove, Ice Skating, Bowling, Basketball & Hockey games plus much more.
Every year the Night Crusaders go on a mission trip. Once again, you do not need to belong to Third Presbyterian to go on the mission trip, but you must belong to the Night Crusaders and be active (regular attendance) in the group.
We Have a Bus!
The Night Crusaders (High School Youth) obtained a bus for use in youth events and other church events. Contributions are always welcome to help cover the costs of our bus!
What is YAC?
YAC is the Youth Advisory Committee. YAC (the adults of Third Pres and officers of Night Crusaders meet once a month to organize and plan all the activities and events of the Night Crusaders.
YAC's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Making arrangements for all events Providing transportation when needed Chaperoning events Providing spiritual growth Being there for the kids when needed
To be on YAC, you do not need to have a child active in Night Crusaders, you only need to have the desire to want to make a difference in each of the young people's lives.
