Church Custodian Position
Introduction
Session and the Personnel Committee have approved this position,
with the hopes of filling the position as soon as possible. This
position is the combination of housekeeper, weekend custodian, and
custodian. The position is a full time position, paying $15 an hour.

Job Purpose
The maintaining and improving of the building and property for Third
Presbyterian Church.
Duties

Grounds keeping
-
Boiler Maintenance
-
Housekeeping Custodial Duties

Electrical/Plumbing Maintenance
-
Background in floor maintenance
-
Available for weddings, funerals, special events.

Arranges furnishings for special events
-
Keep Congregational Liaison/Program Coordinator aware of any supply needs
-
Awareness of unsecured access points
Organizational Relationship
-
Reports to the Congregational Liaison/Program Coordinator.
-
Head of the church staff is the Pastor.

Works closely with trustees in the maintaining and improving of the building and property.

Attend Trustee Meeting as appropriate
-
40 hours a week

Sunday through Thursday.

Demonstrated ability to identify custodial and maintenance needs

Prepare recommendations and implement as appropriate

Education—High School Diploma Required

Experience—5-10 years in industrial/commercial building maintenance

Competencies and Skills—ability to meet the specifics mentioned above
